I notice that commodities remained undervalued from roughly the mid 1950s to the mid 1970s. I wonder if there's a more precise way to know when the commodity time is right.
I wondered that too. I would be very interested in conversing with an investor that experienced that era ('58-'80) but they would most likely be in their mid-80s or beyond and I can't afford to take Warren Buffet out to lunch.
I'm also reminded of those funds that participated in "The Big Short". Most of those guys have to wait 3-5 years before they the winds of change move in their direction. Sometimes big moves take a long time to get started, but then once they do, they move quickly.
